Organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Google

What is SEO? SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the WORK that goes into a website to get it on the first page of Google using organic methods. You need to be on Page 1 of Google because quite simply, 92% of all search traffic goes through the results on the first page of Google. Less than 10% of people ever scroll to page 2.

Google looks at two things when evaluating a website and deciding where to rank it – RELEVANCE and TRUST

RELEVANCE is the onsite portion of SEO. Building relevance means optimizing the code and making sure the website content accurately represents the business and brand. Google doesn’t care how pretty the site looks. If the code isn’t optimized then Google will either keep you off Page 1 or may not even see it at all. Most importantly, your site must be mobile-friendly or responsive. If it isn’t, Google will move you down in search ranking. content of a website and the code behind the scenes.

TRUST is the offsite portion of SEO. Building trust with Google is similar to real-life relationships. It takes time and it’s done through a variety of small yet meaningful things that build up to greater and greater trust. Google looks at how many other sites on the internet link back to a site. If a large number of high-quality sites point back to it, the Google algorithm will start to trust it more and move it up in the rankings.

How long does SEO take?

Effective SEO takes time. You have to truly earn trust from Google and Google is smart. It doesn’t let you cheat your way to the top anymore. It typically takes 45 days for site build, onsite optimization, and to start building trust. First page rankings should appear within 6 months. 87% of our customers reported ranking on page 1 of Google after six months of using our services.

What does SEO cost?

Two main factors affect the cost of an SEO campaign: market competitiveness and industry competitiveness. Larger markets (bigger cities) means more people searching and more direct competition for search rankings. SEO in smaller markets is generally cheaper.
